The Fotona4D®Laser Tightening treatment is a novel and innovative treatment protocol that has been proven to effectively address the fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, loss of dermal volume, uneven skin tone, and rough skin texture on the face. It is a full thickness skin treatment programme to stimulate maximum collagen contraction and aids in regeneration of collagen and elastin lost through the ageing process.
It combines the use of four unique laser modes found within the FOTONA system.
This special laser module is performed on the inside of the oral cavity. The non-ablative laser application results in gentle collagen contraction as well as stimulation of new collagen fibres. Patients can expect to see plumping effect on the nasolabial lines and marionette lines around the mouth, similar to the effect produced by a filler.
The FRAC3® is a unique fractional long pulse mode laser that targets deep imperfections in the skin to restore a youthful texture and tone to the skin. Because the surrounding tissue is safe and unharmed, the patient will experience faster healing than conventional fractional treatments.
The PIANO® mode achieves effective and safe bulk tissue heating of deeper layers of the skin without damage to the epidermis at the top. The concentrating effect of the laser energy at the subdermal and subcutaneous depth causes tightening and contraction of skin layers above.
This is an ultra-light laser peel that works at the final step of the treatment program to remove dead skin cells, producing a healthy glow and smooth texture, all-in-all giving the skin a smooth, pearl-like quality.

Most patients will see some immediate results shortly after the treatment. The result will continue to improve over the next 6-8 weeks.
You may feel a mild sensation of warmth as the laser energy contacts the skin, and there may be a mild pinching sensation felt as well. Nevertheless, the procedure is very comfortable, and most patients can tolerate without any prior application of anaesthetic cream.
There is no downtime for this procedure, and you will be able to continue with your day’s activities immediately after the procedure. That being said, a minority of patients may experience mild redness or swelling for about half a day. Make up can be applied about 1-2 hours after the treatment.
The Laser 4D tightening program that is designed by Dr Heng Wee Soon will be unique to you, based on your skin condition. After the final session, you can expect to see the results to be sustained for 5-6 months. Maintenance treatments may be sought by patients after the main program has been completed.
The number sessions varies depending on the result that is desired. In addition, the skin response to the treatment varies between individual patient, and is an important factor in determining the intensity of the treatment sessions.
